Work you’ll do
The Scrum Master role involves a deep understanding of agile processes, strong internal and external
project management skills, and an ability to navigate a wide variety of communication matters. In this role, the Scrum Master will partner with Product Owner/Client leadership teams and work with project teams to deliver on-time, within the scope, and on budget technology solutions. This is an instrumental role within Careaxiom and an ideal opportunity for a talented and strong leader to design and manage development processes across an office of 40 technology-focused team members.

As a Scrum Master, you will:

-Provide hands-on management and coaching to scrum teams in all aspects of development processes (facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings, backlog grooming, daily routines, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, managing flow, calculating velocity, limiting work in progress, etc.)
-Ensure the team is practicing the core agile principles of self-direction, collaboration, business prioritization, team accountability, and transparency toward the consistent delivery of the working products.
-Clearly communicate release deliverables to project teams with the lens of desirable, possible, and viable in mind
-Identify risk and support mitigation activities. Remove impediments that may prevent teams from achieving sprint and release goals (internal and external to the team)
-Ensures that retrospectives produce actionable tasks; follows through to ensure that recommendations are implemented successfully and in a timely manner
-Facilitates discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution sessions through effective forms of communication methods and models that support distributed team working models
-Facilitate product team and management to allocate and manage resources as per business needs and priorities
-Generate reports based on sprints/projects progress and any shortcomings
-Develop and maintain internal stakeholder relationships supporting agile product development
-Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency and radiate information
-Review current agile processes, drive process improvements, and challenge teams to innovate and deliver business value through product development
-Remain informed about industry trends and best practices concerning agile methodologies and advance those best practices in the organization.

Architecture:

-Thorough understanding of agile software development values, principles, roles, cadence, velocity, flow, and practices, including backlog sizing, release planning, scrums, test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous testing, pair programming
-Must have very good knowledge in testing methods/practices/environments, continuous code delivery and deployment experience using continuous integration tools (DevOps/CI) is desirable
-Experience facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, retrospective, and sprint demos
-Demonstrated success in implementing best practices and standards related to Agile scrum development & testing practices
-Comfortable working with agile project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
-Familiar about JIRA reports and other benefits for tracking progress and blockers
-Experience managing requirements processes including conducting interviews and documenting requirements. Adept at designing future state processes and action items
-Ability to work independently and plan and manage multiple assignments
-Strong oral and written communication skills.

Requirements of the Role:

-First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM), preferred second or third level Scrum Master
certification (PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC) Note: PMI is a plus.
-Bachelor’s degree (preferably Computer Science or Information Systems); Advanced Degree equivalent
-5+ years of relevant experience managing and delivering mid to large scale custom development or systems integration projects in agile environments with team sizes upwards of 40.
-Has worked in cloud-based environments such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS), web or mobile application
